Somervale Village Metlifecare in Mount Maunganui was undergoing a large renovation project to modernise and improve the quality of their overall facilities. As part of this project, Wellmark approached us to help them fulfil their plans to include a new fitness area. With only a small space to work with, the goal was clearly set to provide a welcoming area with easy-to-use equipment where residents could improve and maintain strength, cardiovascular fitness and general well-being.
The end result was a compact, tidy and very functional area that featured three pieces of cardio equipment, a selection of free weights, and a functional trainer. This range was carefully planned and set to maximise the use of the small space available while ensuring the residents had plenty of options and variety for their exercise.
